Area Sales Manager (Nordics)

We are looking for an Area Sales Manager for our Northern Europe Sales Area (Nordics countries), based in Belgium (Liège Science Park).

YOUR MISSION

The mission of our Area Sales Manager will be to identify opportunities, develop and close sales in BEA’s main segment of activity, the pedestrian sensing solutions. He/She reports to the Head of Area and closely works with the Technical Sales and Inside Sales to reach the defined targets.

As Northern Europe Sales Manager you will then:

  • Maintain and develop sales with existing customers, stimulate partnerships with local and key accounts as well as OEM’s subsidiaries.
  • Being able to develop a clear strategy (explained through KPI’s), identify and convert sales opportunities within existing customers and prospects.
  • Share her/his knowledge with sales and/or technical staff of our customers during dedicated training sessions (technical or sales).

After in-depth and continuous technical and sales training, common skills and competencies are:

  • Ability to understand customer’s needs and demands, and put these into a global context
  • Ability to develop subtle, dedicated and oriented sales argumentation
  • Clear team-playing attitude to efficiently exchange with colleagues or seek valuable information within the team
  • Readiness to stretch your comfort zone, because learning is a continuous process
  • Curiosity: you are keen to dig deeper and understand how things work. From the sensor industry to our client’s business specifics, to the nitty-gritty of your job, you are actively curious and seeking answers.
  • Commitment: you are not afraid of working hard to get the job done. You know that every task can be part of someone’s job and you like helping as much as you appreciate being helped.
  • Adaptability & flexibility: our work environment is ever evolving and changing. You should feel comfortable with juggling different tasks, changing priorities or working with different colleagues or clients.
  • Team-playing mentality: we learn a lot from each other, and we rely on our colleagues when times get tough. You love to share your knowledge and expertise and are always open to help your colleagues with advice and guidance.
  • Excellent communication skills: being with our clients or just between us, communication is a very important ingredient in building a great relationship. You should strive for clear and crisp messages and not be afraid to ask questions or challenge.
  • A good sense of humor and a taste for adventure: we’re a fun group and we’re not taking ourselves too seriously. Neither should you! Be ready to have fun and share fun!

Our Northern Europe Sales Manager will also:

  • Bring a first experience as an Account Manager or similar Sales position.
  • Have a high level in French & English. Any extra language (Swedish, Danish, Finnish) could be an asset.
  • Spend 30% (1 week out of 3) of her/his working time abroad, to share the BEA message.
  • Be comfortable with figures, statistics and presentations. (internal BIs & Office Suite).
