As a Building Maintenance Technician, you support and play an active role as a member of the building maintenance team. In line with the schedule established with your manager, you organize yourself to timely carry out the various tasks relating to the required maintenance repairs of the different buildings (internal and external premises).
As a Building Maintenance Technician your responsibilities are as follows:
Ensures the maintenance, layout and basic repairs of buildings and techniques in the broad sense, and of properties, based on a list of recurring and specific tasks defined and/or requested.
Be a point of contact for subcontractors.
Define the need for equipment regarding supply and possible (re)
Proactively manage the planning and make adjustments where required.
Correctly choose the right material for the task.
Report and solve problems or issues you detect or that have been detected.
Manage the workshop area, warehouse area and its tools and keep it organized.
Strictly adhere to organizational procedures, as well as legal requirements to maintain good security practices.
Optimize achieving your mission & assigned tasks while being able to absorb unexpected events and handle them with flexibility and a good sense of prioritization (e.g. breakdowns).
Check / inspect the work of subcontractors.
In the performance of tasks/duties, ensure your own safety as well as that of others.
Ensures the correct use of tools and machines
Ensures the proper use of safety equipment both for him/herself as well subcontractors.
YOUR QUALITIES & SKILLS
A3 technician, in maintenance or equivalent experience.
Basic skills in all areas related to the management, changes and basic repairs of an industrial building, such as:
Basic knowledge of requirements in general and safety regulations is a plus.
License B (commercial vehicle driving up to 3.5T), forklift driver ‘certificate / BA4 / BA5 desired.
Excel / Word: basic knowledge.
French / English (basic knowledge in reading desired).
Likes to be organized, methodical and rigorous in his/her work.
