Senior Technical Project Leader (Hardware Background)

As a Senior Technical Project Leader, you participate in the development of detectors and contribute to the growth of the company’s product portfolio. More specifically, you are the solution architect for our sensors ensuring a smooth interaction between the different sub-parts. You cooperate closely with your peers, with the product management, and with the project management department. This function requires technical interactions with our internal employees as well as our customers.

Responsibilities

Act as a Technical Project Leader within the BEA Group R&D including the following tasks:

  • Manage the full sensor development lifecycle, from conception, architecture definition, detailed design, scoping, development’s resources coordination, implementation, testing to documentation, delivery, and maintenance.
  • Evaluate project and product costs, control project costs and the expected cost of the product.
  • Maintain a schedule for each project, write specification documents, technical documents, and construction file of the products as well as respect the procedures.
  • Collaborate with the product manager and the project manager to ensure the overall success of the project.
  • Collaborate with industrialization, purchase, manufacturing, technical resource team leaders and other technical project leaders to ensure the technical success of the product.
  • Innovate in terms of products, new technologies and of manufacturing methods and industrial processes.
  • Ensure discretion regarding strategic technical information and internal data security.
  • Leading functional architecture design responsibilities.
  • Working closely with developers to manage expectations and define objectives within an Agile methodology.
  • Ensure discretion regarding strategic technical information and internal data security.

Your Qualities & skills

  • Engineering degree in electronics, computer science or mechanics.
  • Knowledge in optics and microwaves is a plus.
  • A proven track record of technical knowledge and experience in project management.
  • Experience in product development.
  • Knowledge of safety standards (i.e. ISO 13849 / IEC 61508) is a plus.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • You enjoy teamwork and have the following qualities :
